Meatballs with Peach

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gram extra lean ground beef
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup panko or breadcrumbs
  • 5 cloves of garlic (minced)
  • salt to taste
  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp clove powder
  • 1 tbsp soya sauce
  • small can of peach slices
  • 50 gram butter
  • ¾ cup beef broth
  • potato flour

Method
 

  1. Mix the ground beef with the egg ,panko or breadcrumbs, garlic, salt, cayenne pepper, nutmeg, clove powder, cumin and soya sauce. Make 8 medium size meatballs. Drain the peach but save the juice. You will need ¼ cup of the juice.
  2. Fry the meatballs in the butter till they are browned. Add the peach and let simmer for a couple minutes. Add the beef broth and the peach juice and let simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Thicken the sauce with some prepared potato flour. (optional)
  4. Serve with rice, veggies or a salad!
